Chuck is one of the elder statesmen of PCC, and his reputation is legendary.   He has served on PCC’s Buildings and Grounds Commission, not only as an organizer but someone who rolled up his sleeves and got down to work.  Oh, and it should be mentioned that he has never been afraid to speak his mind on matters of importance.  Chuck gladly let's Sunday school adults consider his ideas on biblical verses, and he even occasionally injects a few words into the pastor’s sermon.

Beside the meaning and importance of what he says, we get to Chuckle about his strong personality.  He is loved by all.

Chuck retired to our area with his wife, Kitty (now with the Lord), after a long career in engineering.  He built his own house and has lived there for more than three decades.  But his construction days did not end when his house was completed.  He got involved in two big projects for the church.  First, he led in the upgrade to the cottage of which pastors and care takers had lived in over many years.  With the hard work of many volunteers, they completed the task in thirteen days!  Still a bigger project was Chuck’s to lead.  The church needed a larger house because the cottage seemed too small for pastors with children.  Chuck led the charge and organized members in constructing a four bedroom parsonage next to the river.  Retired Pastor Ed and Delores Anderson and current Pastor Phil and Lynette Strong have enjoyed the privilege of living very comfortably thanks to this effort.  Returning to PCC's pulpit in August 2008 for a guest sermon, Pastor Ed publicly recognized Chuck for a job well done.
