Fight Absence. Choose Presence. Engage Restoration.

A father does not have to be gone to be absent.

Statistics support nearly all societal issues facing us today can be traced back to a child growing up in a father-absent home.  But what if a father is at home, and still absent?  It's what we call the silent statistic; present but not engaged.  This form of absence has a significant impact too and whether it's a moment in conversation, or a season in life - it is every dad's fight.  We provide ALL fathers (and father figures) with tools and opportunities to make a change.

Family Lines was started in 2010 by Jon Hagedorn, inspired by Malachi 4:6 and burdened to see more fathers taking a renewed physical and spiritual role in their children's lives.
Family Lines is a team of lifetime wilderness guides and filmmakers, leveraging their talents along with a passion to fight absence in fatherhood; physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through their films, expeditions, hands-on workshops, and investment in facilitators and field instructors [aka "Dadvocates"] Family Lines capitalizes on the intentional space of fishing to challenge fathers to fight absence, choose presence and engage restoration with their children.

EXPERIENCES
Single to multi-day trips that create opportunities for you and your child to be present together in the wilderness.
FLY FISHING ACADEMY
The academy gives the general public exposure to the mission of Family Lines, as well as helping generate income for operations.
EXPEDITIONS
Three to seven days of uninterrupted, intentional, facilitated time between you and your father or child while experiencing the trip of a lifetime.
MENDING LINES
A story-based video curriculum designed to bring the "campfire conversation" to your living room. Raw. Unscripted. Broken. Messy.
FLY TYING KIT
Fly Tying Kit and curriculum will help you sit shoulder to shoulder with your child, talk, and learn together. In those moments, you will tie threads between your heart and the heart of your child.
