Helping Fathers Stay Engaged & Finish Strong

A father does not have to be gone to be absent.
Statistics support nearly all societal issues facing us today can be traced back to a child growing up in a father-absent home.  But what if a father is at home, and still absent?  It's what we call the silent statistic; present but not engaged.  This form of absence has a significant impact too and whether it's a moment in conversation, or a season in life - it is every dad's fight.  We provide ALL fathers (and father figures) with tools and opportunities to make a change.

Family Lines was started in 2010 by Jon Hagedorn, inspired by Malachi 4:6 and burdened to see more fathers taking a renewed physical and spiritual role in their children's lives.
Using fishing as our flagship activity, we provide inspiration, resources, and experiences aimed at helping fathers (and father figures) stay present and engaged in their children’s lives – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – especially during the most formative (teen) and impactful (post-teen) years.
EXPERIENCES
Single to multi-day trips that create opportunities for you and your child to be present together in the wilderness.
FLY FISHING ACADEMY
The academy gives the general public exposure to the mission of Family Lines, as well as helping generate income for operations.
DADVOCATE GROUP
Using fishing as our flagship activity, we provide inspiration, resources, and experiences aimed at helping fathers (and father figures) stay present and engaged in their children’s lives – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – especially during the most formative (teen) and impactful (post-teen) years.
MENDING LINES
A story-based video curriculum designed for small groups.  These are currently being used in all 50 states and over 9 countRies impacting thousands of fathers.
FLY TYING KIT
Fly Tying Kit and curriculum will help you sit shoulder to shoulder with your child, talk, and learn together. In those moments, you will tie threads between your heart and the heart of your child.

As much as the trips and activities themselves, Jon enjoys building relationships and memories with others, especially families.
