In 2021, staff and family at YD/Stonewater, who are also part of Plain Community Church's congregation, felt a shared calling to love on the kids in the Plain Valley and share God’s Word with them. With the support of Plain Community Church and Youth Dynamics the first Youth Connect meeting was held in March 2021 with 22 middle and high school youth. The first meeting was a hit as they played aerial ping pong, with players suspended by climbing harnesses at the Stonewater Gym. Definitely full of fun and laughter!
Beginning Fall 2024, Lien Hagedorn has been hired by the church to lead this ministry with the support of Youth Dynamics staff! We continue to value and support this partnership for reaching the youth in the Plain Valley.

Youth Connect includes:
- A time of worship.
- An epic game of some sort - it gets crazy! Aerial human foosball, excavator egg drop challenges, night games with noodles, bumper soccer inside inner tubes just to name a few.
- Teaching time - one of the leaders will share a lesson from scripture. Fall 2024 high schoolers will go through lessons on Eternity; Middle Schoolers will delve into what a Christian life looks like.
- After the teaching time each leader takes a smaller group by age and gender to talk about the
lesson, creating a safe space for the students to go deeper, ask questions and share prayer requests.
