Thanks for your interest in discovering more about Plain Community Church. The Bible uses the word “church” to describe gatherings of people in two distinct ways. We encounter the word being used to describe all believers, everywhere (the ‘universal’ church). We also find the word used to describe specific, local gatherings of people who have chosen to meet together for the purpose of community (the ‘local’ church).
When one decides to become a Christ-follower, they automatically become a part of the ‘universal’ church. But, following that decision comes the responsibility of choosing a ‘local’ church which will represent the place where they will develop and grow in vital connectedness with God and others. The local church functions as a center for equipping Christ-followers for the work of ministry to build up the body of Christ. This website is designed to better acquaint you with Plain Community Church, and assist you in exploring this local body.
